Mary Ann has over 40 years’ experience in the beauty industry and 32 have been in her own

salon. It was in the year 2007 that she realized that there could be more for hair stylists in the

beauty industry. Meaning, benefits and being able to earn a more comfortable living wage

without working their fingers to the bone and burning out.

In 2008 Brooks & Co. Opened its doors but it wasn’t until 2013 that this dream of being able to

offer these benefits to beauty professionals came true.

Our whole business structure had to change and that it did and then an incredible benefit

program was born. We continue to add new benefits each year to our team. This year we added

every other Saturday off and for our long-time team members this is truly a gift.

Mary Ann still enjoys doing hair and taking care of people that come into our salon. She is

currently behind the chair 28 hours a week and she runs our training program teaching our new

team members.
